UPDATING YOUR KITCHEN PART 1

Updated: May 10

The easiest and the least expensive way to update your kitchen is refinishing your kitchen cabinets with painted application. As long as you, or you pro painter, use the right materials, is refinishing cabinets with alcohol based primer "Bin", and urethane-enriched acrylic enamel. It guarantees you get smooth and durable finish. Avoid lacquer sprayed applications, they are thin, not durable, easy to crack and peel off.

For more information about refinishing kitchen cabinets, refacing kitchen cabinets, kitchen remodeling, or home improvement contact Cabinet Refacing Pros at 760-644-4930.

For refinishing, almost all our competitors use only 2 coats of either acetone or water-based lacquer.

We refinish cabinets with 2 coats of stain-blocking primer and 2 coats of enamel fortified with urethane for a smooth, washable, durable and lasting finish. Then, we refinish the cabinet boxes frame and panels in the same color and sheen.

For country-style applications, we apply distress and glazing as requested and approved by the customer. Then we protect finish with acrylic urethane for a smooth, washable, durable, and lasting finish.

For stained finishes, we apply 2 coats of oil-based and urethane enriched gel-stain and protected finish with polyurethane for a smooth, washable, durable and lasting finish.

Our finishes withstand heavy use of kitchens and bathrooms.

1 coat of lacquer has 1mil, 1 coat of primer, paint or gel-stain 1.5 mils, polyurethane 2 mils. Thus, our competition finishes are 2 mils thick while our minimum 6 mils thick.

We install optional new finished maple or Baltic birch drawer boxes, soft-close hinges and full-extension drawer glides, new crown molding, new baseboard, new scribe molding, and base-shoe, lazy Susan, etc. Pulls or knobs installation is included in the estimate if supplied by the owner before finishing the job.
